  1. When you select one or more fade modules from the either list of fades, you can preview what the fades will look like by clicking on the Demo button in the control window, by pressing command-D, or by double-clicking on the selected fades.  If more than one fade is selected, Shutdown FX will demonstrate each fade in turn.  Pressing command-period will cancel the demonstration as soon as the fade in progress is finished.

  3. Note that demonstrating a fade does not change its availability; if you preview a disabled fade, it will still be disabled unless you explicitly install it.
